Sili Muyembe hitmaker Rema Namakula and Hamza Sebunya introduction knocking on the door after Kukyala ceremony
Dr Hamza Sebunya together with his family today on 9th October officially visited Rema Namakula’s Senga and other relatives at her home in Bukoto in a Kukyala ceremony.
On the same day as Uganda commemorated 57 years of independence, the ‘Sili Muyembe’ hitmaker decided to take the first step towards legalising her relationship with husband to be, Dr Hamza Sebunya.
The long-awaited day for family, friends and online-inlaws saw the singer get an official glance at her new husband and his people.
Smartly dressed in a unique maroon gomesi, Rema was the epitome of beauty as she could not hold back her happiness and joy.
Besides, her outfits were all on point, she went for a golden necklace and bangle, all matching the buttons on her gomesi.
Rema also chose a more natural-looking styled hairstyle for the day which she adorned with a golden-pearl leafy accessory and also held a personalised a Hello Hamza flower booth.
Meanwhile, for Dr Ssebunya who was accompanied by tycoon Godfrey Kirumira made it to the ceremony in a maroon and blue coat to match Rema’s gomesi.
The day was deemed a success as there were no disturbing scenes, the couple will now embark on their introduction ceremony in a few days and then the wedding.
The wedding is slated for November 14 this year, with several sources indicating that many socialites and bloggers in the entertainment industry have already received their invitation cards.
History – Rema and husband to be Sebunya
In August this year, information circulated different social media platforms indicating that singer Rema Namakula has officially parted ways with her long term boyfriend, Eddy Kenzo.
This was coupled with photos that showed Rema hugging with her new husband to be Dr Ssebunya confirming to the public that the relationship was no more.
Later, Eddy Kenzo released a statement confirming the information and wished her well in her new marriage. Rema also confirmed the rumours adding that her marriage with Sebunya is slated for 14th November this year.
Kenzo and Rema dated for five years and were blessed with a five-year-old daughter. However, the relationship between the two celebrities which has been on the rocks for about two years is no more.
Rema is leaving Kenzo for a new boyfriend, Hamza Ssebunya, whom she is set to introduce to her family in Nabbingo later this year.
