Initially, the 37 suspects were charged with treason after they allegedly stoned President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s convoy in Arua by-elections last year.
However, On Tuesday State Prosecutor, Patrick Ombiya in a fully packed court stated that the charges have been amended to include inciting of violence contrary to section 8(1) of the Penal Code Act, disobedience of lawful orders contrary to section 1.7 of the Penal Code Act and going armed to certain places contrary to section 7.5(B) of the Penal Code Act.

Section 3 and Section 4 of the Public Order Management Act as well as failure to give right of way contrary to Section 176 Sub-section 2 of Traffic and Roadside Act.
It adds that Kasiono Wadri carried an offensive weapon Pistol number B462700633 into Royal Host Hotel.
Grade one Magistrate Isaac Kintu Imran, then committed the suspects to High Court to stand trial. And after his commission, Wadri said even when they have jailed the call for change will continue until the change takes place in Uganda.
“They need to have a change in this country is over sounding everywhere. Whether we are being incarcerated here the forces of change are blowing and they will blow until the change occurs in this country,” Wadri asserted.
While Bobi Wine said they are not shaken by the new charges but instead gained more strength to continue with the liberation struggle until change comes.
“One thing the world should know is that this has not shaken us in any way! It’s instead of making us stronger,” Bobi Wine said.
