Balaam Bobi Wine will perform at Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba's birthday party (1)
Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba will on the 23rd of this month be celebrating his 48th birthday at the Lugogo Cricket Oval.

Musician-turned-politician Bobi Wine will perform for revellers at the first son, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s birthday party, says events promoter Balaam Barugahare.

Events promoter Balaam Barugahare has vowed to hire musician turned politician Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu commonly known as Bobi Wine to perform for revellers at the first son, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s birthday party.

Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba will on the 23rd of this month be celebrating his 48th birthday at the Lugogo Cricket Oval. The day like never before has been graced to attract several distinguished people not only from Uganda but across the entire East African continent.

With all the ongoing hype, Balaam who is the chief organizer of the day has said he will hire Bobi Wine who also doubles as the National Unity Platform (NUP) party president to be part of the list of many artists expected to perform.

Balaam who also rushed to his Twitter handle to reiterate his submission said he is a great admirer of Bobi Wine’s music although they disagree politically.

“Among the artistes we are expecting to perform at Lt Gen Muhoozi’s birthday, is Bobi Wine. Bobi Wine will perform. He will come and sing for the President. I’m going to send him a card and I will pay him,” Balaam said.

“I want Bobi Wine to be one of the performers of that event. He is a good performer. I like his music. Personally, I like Bobi Wine’s music but when it comes to politics, I support Muhoozi,” he added.

The tweet, however, raised criticism from several Ugandans who said Bobi Wine is too busy with national issues and cannot go about performing for people who associate with the dictator, Museveni.

“Bob is busy with national issues especially those affecting the pple who pay to make this country somehow running but I can assure u we can lack a replacement that is the one who sang mpekoni and u want another wrap and ur guests will be happy too,” one Samson256 tweeted.

Another individual identified as Simon Mugisha said it is a bad gesture to see that millions of money are going to be poured into celebrating an individual’s birthday yet many Ugandans hardly get a meal due to escalating prices.

“But Balaam how much have you put in this party. Why influence future leaders into lavishly spending especially in this period where the masses hardly get a meal with the escalating prices of most products. It’s a bad gesture to the citizens en am sure even CIC isn’t happy abt the same,” Mugisha tweeted in response.

“Balaam wogoba musajja munno olekamu agakuuza. Don’t try to provoke coz we all don’t know what tomorrow holds. No Bobiwine no news kyoba omanya gwemutembeya twamuzila,” Deno256 also wrote.
