NBS Television has yet again poached another news anchor Hatima Nalugwa Ssekaya from the Serena based TV Station, and the Mwasuze Mutya host at NTV.
Hatima Nalugwa Ssekaya is a Luganda News Anchor who has been working at NTV anchoring the Akawungezi news.
Ssekaya was officially unveiled to the Kamwokya based popular station nbs on Tuesday, August 27 2019, shortly after NBS poached a senior news anchor, Zambali Brasio Mukasa from the Buganda Kingdom-based station BBS Telefiyina and their sister CBS Radio Station who is today anchoring the Amasengejje news at the Kamwokya based station NBS.
In an official memo sent to NBS staff by the Chief People Officer at the Next Media Services, Mr Paul Lwanga asked them to give a warm welcome to Ssekaya because she has joined the Amasengejje team, a Luganda news hour airing at 7:00 pm daily.
“I am happy to announce that we have a new addition to the Next Media Family. Please welcome miss Hatima Nalugwa Ssekaya our newest baby to NBS Amasengejje. Hatima Nalugwa Ssekaya is equally excited to join us and looks forward to NBS Amasengejje.”
Ssekaya has an experience of over 11 years in news, skills in news anchoring, programming and production.
She now adds up to the many senior journalists and staff NTV has lost to NBS television station these includes; Douglas Lwanga, Raymond Mujuni, Solomon Sserwanja, Ruk-Shana Namuyimbwa, Wisdom Kiyonga, Dean Lubowa Savva and Sheila Mugisha who worked as a feature stories reporter at NTV and MC Kats.
Others include Wasswa Chrismel of News Production team but his contract was reportedly terminated when NBS introduced Daniel Kalinaki, Anita Fabiola who hosted be my date at NTV, Dean Lubowa Sava, Godfrey Badebye, Samuel Walugembe former Chief of graphics at NTV, Charles Odongtho former fourth estate host at NTV and now a senior political commentator at NBS.
According to rumours that circulated recently, it was indicated that she left NTV to concentrate on her food business but today Ssekaya is back in the media and this time around as NBS Amasengeje anchor.
