Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) will be looking to end Vipers Sports Club’s winning streak as they host the inform Kitende boys at the StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo on Saturday 16th November.
Going into this game minus a loss in the league this season, Golola’s boys so far have been the best side.
They are currently leading the table with 33 points out of 13 games four more games than KCCA who currently lie 5th on the log.
If they win all the games in hand then they will be only two points behind Vipers FC meaning a win today against the Kitende boys would even prefer to push the top.
For the recent seasons, Vipers and KCCA have been ahead of all other teams in the league the latter won last season’s league while former won the season before.
Meanwhile, KCCA FC comfortably beat Express FC 3-1 in their previous game at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium, with goals from Anaku Sadat, Mike Mutyaba and a Yiga Mohammad own goal.
Appropriately, Vipers claimed a narrow 1-0 win over Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club through Daniel “Mzee” Serunkuma’s lone strike.
The fixture comes when both teams have many absentees who are away for national duties.
Vipers will be without their leading goal scorer Fahad Bayo, captain Halid Lwaliwa and first-choice goalkeeper Mutombora while KCCA will be missing skipper Charles Lukwago, Defensive midfielder Nicholas Kasozi and Allan Okello. Sadat Anaku will also miss the tie tomorrow as he is injured.
Last season these teams picked a point off each other, 1-1 in Kitende and the same result in Lugogo.
