Finally, police arrests a murder suspect who was filmed on a CCTV Camera killing a Boda Boda cyclist

Police have arrested a Boda Boda cyclist who was captured on a private CCTV Camera killing a Boda Boda rider and drove away with his motorcycle after a long time cracks down.

John Bosco Mugisha was arrested on Tuesday night this week after his return from Kabale where he ran for safety.

After his arrest, Mugisha confessed to Police that he was the one involved in the murder of the Boda Boda cyclist Mulindwa Deric on the 28th of June Friday night, together with his colleague Yanga Mulo nickname, whom he said was killed in a mob justice days later.

“The suspect was arrested at Ndeeba Lubaga Division in Kampala last night, after a tip-off. The suspect is identified as Mugisha John Bosco Alliance Mukiga. Mugisha admits that he’s the one in the video with his colleague called Yanga Mulo, not the Musician, he’s currently detained at Katwe Police Station pending transfer to Kampala Police Station. He will be charged with murder and aggravated robbery,” police spokesperson, Fred Enanga said.

Police says Mugisha confessed that he murdered mulindwa on June 30th 2019, together with his colleague he named as Yanga Mulo, not the real name.

However, Enanga confirmed Yanga Mulo’s death who died a few days after the Murder of Mulindwa the Boda Boda cyclist.

“And he’s already giving us a chronology of what has happened. You remember there was somebody who was murdered and it’s on our record around Makindye on the third of July this year and he admits that this was his colleague. So, we have enough evidence.”

Police are to base on the suspect’s confession and the CCTV footage circulated among the public to press charges on Mugisha that include aggravated robbery and murder.

Mulindwa Derick was killed in cold blood on 28th of June Friday night in Kakeeka village Mengo, in Lubaga Division and the two killers Yanga Mulo and Mugisha drove away with his Boda Boda.
