Pr. Ssempa Criticises Bobi Wine’s New Song ‘Tuliyambala Engule’

The Ugandan pop star commonly known as Bobi Wine also the Kyadondo East MP is accused of altering the message and meaning of his new song ‘Tuliyambala Engule’.

Pastor Martin Ssempa, senior pastor Makerere Community Church and an activist is one of the critics who have accused MP Kyagulanyi of twisting the Christian heritage for his political campaigns in his new song ‘Tuliyambala Engule’ released a day back.

Ssempa says Bobi Wine in his new song holds the position of Jesus.

“As a pastor, I am glad that H.E Bobi Wine is now singing Balokole Revival song Olutalo Nga Luwedde, my problem is how he is changing the meaning and message of the song.

What is the impact of turning a gospel worship song into a political party song?” he questioned.

He added that Bobi Wine should compose a new song for his political campaigns called ‘new wine’ and stop messing up with God.

“I refuse to participate in the distortion and mutilation of our collective balokole heritage for that ghetto president Bobi Wine political campaigns.

 Next to that he stated that the Bobi Wine’s new song demonstrate believers good fight as Pilgrim headed for heaven the ‘Biblical new Jerusalem’.

According to pr. Ssempa “Bobi Wine tells us that; the new Jerusalem is not heaven but when he becomes Uganda’s president!!! He holds himself as the future messiah replacing Jesus.”

Relatedly, on his twitter post Ssempa dropped a post stating that; he’s not against Bobi Wine but let him compose “another rap” fitting his political struggle.

However, other musicians like Dr, Hilderman original name Hilary Innocent Kiyaga, Nubian Lee, Irene Ntale, Ronald Mayinja, pastor Wilson Bugembe and also political figures like Asuman Basalirwa of Bugiri municipality featured in this song ‘Tuliyambala Egule’

Irene Ntare yesterday said that she is delighted to be among the few chosen musicians featuring in the ‘Tuliyambala Engule’ song. Adding that it’s a great honour to her, for Bobi Wine to request her participation in his new song.

“I am glad I sang about some of the issues affecting women in my country and creating awareness. The first step to solving a problem is identifying it. Thanks to Bobi Wine plus all the amazing artists present in the song,” Irene Ntale tweeted.

In this new song unveiled Bobi Wine demonstrates how they will be crowned with victory after they win the final battle against Museveni.
