Sandra Kahumuza resigns from NTV (1)
In a tweet through her official Twitter Account, Sandra Kahumuza indicated she will be departing from the station effective April 1st.

Sandra Kahumuza Twinoburyo, long-time journalist, news anchor, and presenter at NTV Uganda owned by the Nation Media Group, has announced her retirement.

Long-serving journalist, news anchor and TV Presenter, Sandra Kahumuza Twinoburyo has announced her retirement from Nation Media Group station, NTV Uganda.

In a tweet through her official Twitter Account, Sandra Kahumuza indicated she will be departing from the station effective April 1st.

“It’s been almost 4 years as your @ntvuganda #weekendedition news anchor, while this changes today, I want you to know that I appreciate all the love and the criticism that pushed me to grow,” she tweeted on Friday. 

The tweet attracted a lot of attention from his followers with many regarding it as a fools day tweet.

“Change is a fact of life, I atleast got to know you while at ntv, met you, I appreciate and still appreciating you for the good heart you have towards developing the youth. God bless you always Sandy,” a one Sa Chief Jose responded.

“Oh my God ! What a shock! Your skill of reporting the story with the well composed English and confidence has been part of the reason I watch NTV Weekend Edition. I hope you are not leaving the news industry,” another fan also responded to the tweet.

“Happy fools day @STwinoburyo . But u r gd,” Nkojo Alfred said referring to her tweet as a fool’s Day lie.

Meanwhile, inside sources from NTV Uganda indicate Sandra Kahumuza was replaced by Mildred Pedun, who took over the NTV Weekend Edition on Friday.

Who is Sandra Kahumuza?

Sandrah Kahumuza Twinoburyo (Sandra Kahumuza) is a Ugandan media personality, Radio and Television host, News Anchor, News Reporter and fashionista. 

Before her current resignation, she has been a news anchor of NTV Weekend Edition and a Talk Show Host on the Talk of the Nation

Previously, she worked on Record TV as a news reporter, Radio City 97FM. Kahumuza has always had a passion for journalism since her childhood.

Kahumuza attended Bweranyangi Girls’ SSS in Bushenyi District for her secondary education before proceeding to Makerere University for her Bachelors in Journalism and Mass-Communication. 

In 2017 before she even completed her course, Kahumuza emerged the best English News Anchor in the Inter-University Media Challenge in which she won an Award, and from there she has never turned back.
