BUL FC Junior Team humiliated KCCA FC Soccer Academy to be crowned the 2018/2019 U19 FUFA Juniors League champions.
In a final that was played at the FUFA Technical Center in Njeru, Jinja on 29th June, dominant Bul FC beat KCCA FC by three goals to nil.
In a match where either side was seeking to win the championship for the first time, the Jinja-based boys dominated both halves and received some of the best chances.
Reagan Kalyowa scored a brace in the 22nd and 48th minute before Deo Sentongo added Bul’s third goal in the 62nd minute to hand them their first-ever FUFA Juniors League champions title.
The Kasasiro boys who looked hopeless in the entire game failed to send a single shot past Bul’s goalkeeper.
All-time FUFA Juniors League champions top scorer KCCA FC SA striker Sadat Anaku with 84 goals, – (2016/17 -27 goals, 2017/18 – 26 goals and 2018/19 – 31) also failed to make things happen for his side in the entire game.
Meanwhile, this loss now means that KCCA FC has missed out on winning this title for the third time after falling to Vipers SC JT in 2015/2016 on penalties and Soana FC JT in 2016/2017 still on penalties.
Notably, Simon Oketch of BUL FC JT was named the Most Valuable Player for 2018/2019 season. He scored 13 goals in the regular league.
BUL FC JT goalkeeper Bewayo Isaac was also named the best goalkeeper after conceding only 13 goals while KCCA’s Sadat Anaku won the golden boot as the league’s top scorer.
