Mafabi has accused the group of antagonizing the recently organized FDC campaign rally for Amuriat in Rukungiri.

Basing on section 12d of the FDC constitution, Nandala Mafabi the secretary-general of the FDC has expelled Ingrid Turinawe and other members from the FDC party.

Other members expelled include Winnie Babibuga and Darius Tweyambe.

Ingrid Turinawe is the Chief Mobilizer of the party but she lost the FDCͦprimary and decided to contest as an independent on the position of Rukungiri Municipality Member of Parliament.

Ingrid who is currently in Rukungiri looking for votes says Mafabi has no power to expel them unless he first calls a party’s general meeting then he can expel them. Ingrid also urged the secretary-general to go slow and think twice before expelling her because he will need her after the elections.

“I would advise him not to rush in making these kinds of decisions because he will need me immediately after the election which am going to win. So he should write less and he should abuse me less,” Ingrid said.

Darius who is contesting as a mayor of Rukungiri but also lost the FDC primary attacked Mafabi saying that he isn’t consistent and he is not serving example to the party.

“Nandala Mafabi is not serving as a good example to all of us. I think from 2001 he has been in parliament challenging Museveni and you also come out to say that Museveni has overstayed therefore should go,” Darius said.

According to Ingrid, the party primary that was organized in august had a lot of vote-rigging and even when they raised complaints to the secretary-general Mafabi they weren’t helped.

“We wrote to the secretary general immediately after the primaries rising out issues but he didn’t write to us back and he didn’t respond to our petitions,” Ingrid added.

Mafabi has accused the group of antagonizing the recently organized FDC campaign rally for Amuriat in Rukungiri. Ingrid says she is still a member of FDC and if she wants to leave the party she can speak for herself.

“I am the secretary general who keeps the register of members and as far as am concerned there are not members. You see you can do your defiance elsewhere but where there is law the law you can’t and you are aware am the secretary general and am the final man on this,” the secretary-general Nandala Mafabi said.
