Following a secret formal proposal during night prayers on October 4 in the presence of his close confidants, pastor Bugingo committed to his girlfriend Susan Makula Nantaba.
After parting ways with his officially known wife Teddy Naluswa, the House of Prayer Ministries International Pastor, Aloysius Bugingo has agreed to marry new girlfriend Susan Makula Nantaba.
Following a secret formal proposal during night prayers at Mandela National Stadium on October 4 in the presence of his close confidants, Bugingo committed to his girlfriend Susan Makula Nantaba.
Bugingo knelt one of his knees to request for Susan’s hand in marriage whom they have been within a secret relationship for over four years.
According to sources, Bugingo’s initial plan was to introduce Susan to the congregation in the stadium but this changed after sections of the media pre-empted his intentions by breaking the story.
He, however, decided to introduce Susan to his parents and close confidants as his fiancé. That same night, he knelt before his parents to be blessed in the presence of Pastor Simeon Kayiwa of Namirembe Christian Fellowship.
While coming out of the stadium boardroom where the proposal was made from, girlfriend Susan Makula Nantaba was seen with a marriage ring on her finger.
From the boardroom at around midnight, was when Pastor Bugingo stepped on to the pulpit to preach the gospel of the Lord to the eager audience.
The event was attended by Bugingo’s parents who travelled from Rwanda and his two younger sisters were also present.
Bugingo might be determined to marry girlfriend Susan Makula however, he will need to wait for the court’s response about his wish to divorce his estranged wife Teddy Naluswa.
Pastor Bugingo family scandals continue to be a topic of discussion in the public corridors, earlier he reiterated his demand to end a 29-year marriage with Teddy Naluswa by offering to share his Shs2 billion property with her.
Bugingo who also insisted in a statement that there is no way back for their marriage with Teddy requested authorities to permit him to marry another woman.
In a closed-door court hearing at the Chief Magistrate Court in Entebbe earlier, Bugingo made it clear that he is not willing and ready to reconcile with Naluswa adding that he should be allowed to marry another woman of his choice.
The pastor also offered to relinquish half of his Shs2b property including Salt Media, House of Prayer Ministries International, plots of land in Wakiso and Mukono, among others to ensure the divorce is possible.
However, Naluswa through her lawyer Julius Galisonga said she cannot just let go of her 29-year-old marriage. She said Bugingo has no major reason of divorcing with her.
Bugingo filed for divorce two months ago and in his application, the pastor indicated that he had lost the love and attraction of Naluswa. He said this was due to Naluswa’s cruel nature.
