It is located just outside Kampala city in Buloba, along Mityana road.

Recreation and leisure activities at Forest Park Resort Buloba include: 

Team building activities: Team building is designed to promote collaboration among team members, especially through activities and events designed to boost motivation and encourage cooperation. 

The team building group package at the Forest Park costs UGX 150.000 for a 2-hour session, UGX 450,000 for a full-day team building group session costs UGX 450.000.

Swimming: Swimming in the 30m x 15m pool at the resort park is a great way to beat the heat on hot days. Smaller pools are also available for children and minors. 

The pool area is staffed with lifeguards who can train amateur swimmers and ensure safety. 

The pool can be accessed from 9:00 am to 6:30 pm. 

Spa services: Massages at the spa facility include Thai, Chinese, and hot stone, all at different prices. The sauna and steam baths are also readily available to help you relax and treat your skin and body. 

Conference facilities: Forest Park Resort features a conference centre where seminars, conferences, workshops and meetings can be held. 

You need to book in advance in order to access the facility.

Water sports activities: Paddle boat rides, kayaking, fishing, and canoeing are all available, in addition to a variety of other water sports activities. 

The team at the park also provides training for canoeing on the resort’s latest boats.

The pedal boat ride at the lake costs UGX 10,000 per person.

Music events/ fun-day events: During public holidays, Easter, Christmas Day, and Boxing Day, Forest Resort Park hosts a variety of fun events with music artists, comedians, acrobats, dancing competitions, gift giveaways, and more.

Other activities and services at the park include face painting, a merry-go-round swing, camping, occasional camel rides and a kids’ play area with bouncing castles.

Paintball: In this team shooting game, players try to get rid of their opponents by hitting them with spherical, dye-filled gelatin capsules called “paintballs” that break when they hit something. 

The park has an arena that can fit between 10 and 15 people per team. The paintball challenge costs UGX 25,000 per person, starting with 30 paintballs.

Zip lining: Experience the most exciting zipline swing crossing the Forest-manmade Lake. 

It is an exhilarating rush of excitement as you climb to the top of the tree and then swing through the air to the final point. 

The short course zipline costs UGX 10,000 per person while the long course zipline costs UGX 15,000 per person.

Outdoor field games: Play outdoor games with your family, friends, or co-workers. 

There are a variety of outdoor games to try out, like volleyball, soccer, netball, low-coarse obstacles, fill-the-bottle, sack racing, and board games.

Rope obstacle course: The forest mini rope obstacle course costs UGX 20,000 per person. 

Forest Park Resort in Uganda: How to get there

Forest Park Resort is located in Buloba, along Mityana road– 6kms from Busega. The fastest route from the city centre to the forest park is via the Kampala- Northern bypass road. 

Upon reaching the Busega roundabout on the Northern bypass, take the 3rd exit onto Mityana road. At the 2nd roundabout, take the 1st exit and stay on Mityana road. 

Drive up to Buloba and turn left onto Kalasana road, then drive for about 600m before turning left onto Noah Dr Road. Within a few metres distance, the destination will be on your right. 

Meals/Dining at the park

This resort has a restaurant and two bars. There is also a coffee shop and a snack deli. 

The full English breakfast is served from 8:00 am to noon. It costs UGX 30,000. For lunch or dinner, there is a lot to choose from on the main course menu, including a few Indian dishes.  

Accommodation

Double room: At $120, you get a double room with a queen-size bed, satellite TV, fan, hot water, bathroom with a shower, and room service. Breakfast for two is included.

Grass thatched cottages: About 40 grass thatched cottages were recently established as part of the accommodation facilities at the park. 

To ensure that you have the best possible stay, these new grass-thatched cottages have been designed to make the most of natural resources. 

On the balcony, you get the opportunity to watch monkeys play. Each room in the new cottage has a bed, side tables, floating walls, bamboo lights, and a small kitchen, all of which are made from local materials. 

In addition to their own bar, restaurant and swimming pool, residents have access to steam rooms and saunas.

All rooms are decorated with wonderful pieces of art and have fully connected intercom phones to ease communication. There is free access to Wi-Fi in all the rooms. 

Housekeeping is provided daily and parking is free. The on-site spa is also a great way for guests to relax and rejuvenate.

Dorm room: The dorm room contains 12 beds, self-contained with bathrooms and can handle a maximum capacity of 12 people. 

Camping: For those interested in camping, a conducive eco-friendly environment is provided. You can choose to go with your own camping materials or hire some at the resort.

The front desk is open every day from 7:00 am to 1:00 am.

Check-in time starts at 9:00 am and ends at midnight. 

Guests must check out by 11:30 am.
