Nigerian RnB star Adedamola Adefolahan aka Fireboy has stepped foot in Uganda ahead of his Fireboy Live in Kampala concert slated to take place this Saturday, April 30th at the Lugogo Cricket Oval.
Speaking at a presser on Friday morning, the ‘Peru’ hitmaker said this will be a chance for him to replicate the love that Ugandans have showered him from the time he started out his music career.
He also said he is happy to be in the Pearl of Africa and more than ready to give his Ugandan fans a show of a lifetime.
“ I am so happy to finally be able to come here. It has been a dream of mine to perform for my fans in Uganda. I cannot wait,” Fireboy said at a presser adding that he will be proud to hold his first show in Uganda.
Relatively, another unusual figure in the name of Suuna Ben has also been added to the list of entertainers for the long awaited concert. Suuna, a renown DJ, TV and radio personality will be expected to rub shoulders with hit after hit Nigerian singer.
Speaking about his surprise pick, Suuna urged his fans that they should expect to see him in another version.
“I’m calling upon all my fans to come and see #SuunaBen in another version,’’ Suuna Ben said while making his stand at the Fireboy Live in Kamapla presser on Friday.
With his biggest fan base in Masaka, Suuna has over the years garnered a lot of interest in the country’s social circles with his style of mixing songs at a faster BPM (Beats Per Minute) that he calls ‘Ebiyanyayanya’.
In a statement confirming Suuna’s attendance earlier on, event organizer Malembe said his undoubted engagement with revelers raised the appeal to them that he (Suuna) is the right person to give more spark to the show.
“Music is a universal language that can and should be enjoyed by everyone and Sunna Ben gives that to his fans, so he is more than welcome, to take part in the show come Saturday,’’ Keith Ashaba from the Malembe team noted.
Meanwhile, tickets to the show are being sold from Shs40,000 for regular and Shs85,000 for VIP on Quicket. The cover charge at the concert will be Shs70,000 for regular and Shs120,000 for VIP.
